Camera Trapping of Tiger in Manas National Park: Camera Trapping of Tiger has been a tool to monitor Tiger with evidence to assist the managers to estimate its population in the forest. Aaranyak has installed five camera trapping devices in Manas National Park, Assam since November 2005 to assess the tiger population in the park in a phased manner. One of the camera traps photographed a tiger for the first time in the park on 28th December 2005. The ongoing study being implemented in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Forest, Assam and will provide valuable information on tigers population in the Manas National Park, which is also a Tiger Reserve.
