Manthan-AIF E-Environment Award presented to Aaranyak by Pradeep Gupta, Managing Director, CyberMedia in

New Delhi on 5^th August 2006

Aaranyak has received the prestigious Manthan-AIF Award 2006 in the field of E-Environment on 5^th August 2006 at New Delhi. In a ceremony held on the event of 1^st International Conference on E-Content & Sustainability & Manthan-AIF Award 2006 Gala, at the Auditorium of National Cooperative Unionof India, New Delhi, the award was conferred to Aaranyak. Dr. Bibhab Kumar Talukdar, Secretary General and Ms. Mayuri Gogoi of Aaranyak have received the award from Prof. Anil Gupta of Indian Institute of Management of Ahmedabad. In the award ceremony held at the auditorium of the National Cooperative Union of India, New Delhi, Mr. Osama Manzer, the Chairman of Manthan Award and Director of the Digital Empowerment Foundation has welcomed the guest. Mr. Shankar Venkateswaran of American India Foundation has emphasized the need to popularize best practices in e-Content and Creativity and strategy adopted by the Manthan Award.

Manthan-AIF Award is a first of its kind initiative in India to recognize the best practices in e-Content and Creativity. It www.manthanaward.com was launched on 10th October 2004, by Digital Empowerment Foundation in partnership with World Summit Award, American India Foundation and PlaNet Finance India. In fact the Manthan-AIF Award is the first step towards not only recognizing those initiatives nationally but at the international level as the Manthan-AIF Award winners will automatically get nominations in the World Summit Award.
