Applications are invited for
two posts of Research Fellows at Aaranyak, a Scientific and Industrial
Research Organization and also a society for biodiversity conservation of
North East India. These posts present a unique opportunity to gain three
years valuable experience and knowledge on key issues for freshwater
ecosystem conservation as well as the possibility of pursuing a Ph.D. study
during the course of the project.
Qualification: M.Sc. in
Zoology/Life Sciences/Wildlife Biology with 1st Class
and specialization/experience in fish & fishery/aquatic ecology/wildlife
biology. A minimum of 2 years experience in freshwater ecology along with
peer-reviewed publications is desirable.
Duration: 3 years, based on
performance.
Salary: Rs. 9,000/- per
month + other allowances.

Note: Interview will be
held at Guwahati, Assam. Only short-listed candidates will be called for
interview. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for attending the
interview. The selected candidates will be working in remote riverine
habitats of Assam.
