Opportunity at Aaranyak for
Field Biologists
 
Aaranyak requires two
professional or trainee wildlife biologists for its ongoing and upcoming
conservation research projects particularly on Rhino, Elephant and Tiger.
Candidate should be young, dynamic, career minded and exploratory and should
be able to work independently or with minimum guidance. Candidate should be
interested in biodiversity conservation, capable of strenuous fieldwork and
work with local communities.
Age:
up to 30 yrs for trainee biologists and 32 yrs for professional biologists
(as on 1.7.2007).
Duration:
3 years of which first 6 months will be probationary.
Eligibility:
MSc in Wildlife Biology/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Environmental Sciences. Candidates
having interest to go for a PhD programme would be preferred and encouraged.
Candidates having PhD degree in the same field may also apply. Candidate must
have computer skills in using software like MS Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), Photo Editing software, etc.
Honorarium:
Negotiable based on Experience. However, for trainee biologists it would
range from Rs.6000-7000 per month. Aaranyak provides life and health
insurance coverage as additional benefit to its staff and other field
allowances as applicable. And more importantly help capacity building
aspiring biologists to achieve professional milestones.
